A SPECIAL DONATION REQUEST FROM THE PURPLE TOUCH CHARITY
The Purple Touch is a charity (charity no. 1196501) that works to stand in the gap for those who often fall through the net of standard local government provision. Our objective is to be the bridge of care, through the provision of food, sanitary supplies and clothing, to individuals or families of low income in our community. We aim to empower and support people in need from all walks of life, through our creative offerings of food hampers and gift bags.
Christmas Dinner and Kids Party and Women’s Refuge
Two years ago, we joined forces with The Bejewelled Academy to give back to children in women’s refuges across Essex. Families were treated to a free Christmas party at their residences. Together with the 7 ladies of the Purple Touch who are DBS checked, we hosted a special Christmas party for the children of two refuges run by the women’s charities of Changing Pathways & Havering Women’s Aid. And this year we have been invited back to do the same!
This year we will focus on one refuge. We will offer the residents a 3-course Christmas dinner, with face painting, snow, a sweet platter, musical entertainment, Christmas crackers, jewellery for all the mums and over 50 gifts for the kids.
All of this was made possible with the kind help and support of local businesses. We ask your help to make this year’s event even more amazing for the families.
Eat & Heat Hampers | Christmas 2024 Project
This year, we would like to extend a Christmas offering of Christmas Hampers to young families who will suffer the harsh and painful choice of choosing to eat over heat this winter. It is our aim to prepare and deliver at least 12 hampers to those who really need them. Our hampers will go to families selected by teachers from three London schools.
We ask for your kind support by way of vouchers, electric blankets and donations of food items. We want to help those who really need it, to enjoy a hamper that is hearty, warm and wholesome, without having to empty out their pockets.
We are happy to collect any items that you are happy to offer and ensure that everyone knows of your amazing support.
