For Christmas 2021, Purple Touch have joined forces with the Bejewelled Academy to give back to children by doing something special for our community. This year, we would extended a Christmas Party offering to little ones and their parents residing at Women’s Refuges to a full Christmas party experience. The 7 ladies of the Purple Touch who are DBS checked hosted a special party for the children in two refuges run by these Changing Pathways and Havering Women’s Aid.
Both parties took place on December 18 and December 20 and our special guests were treated to:
A full Christmas Dinner
A sweet table like no other
A special appearance from Santa who came bearing gifts for kids and mums
Musical entertainment including musical chairs for mums and Christmas Carol singing
Bespoke cookie decorating and jewellery box accessorising
Festive face painting
Fake snow and lots of giggles!

Mums and children loved it and it was special experience that no-one will ever forget. One of the highlights was Santa’s Poem to the mums which was heartfelt and beautifully received before each mum received a silver plated necklace to remind them that they are special not just a Christmas but the whole year through.
Three parents were so touched that they have requested to be volunteers and assist at our next charity party and some of the children commented that the day was one of the best they had ever! Refuge organisers were really impressed and tears of joy were shed all round. The events were beautiful and the precious laughter at the arrival of fake snow was absolutely priceless.

The Purple Touch would like to thank everyone who donated gifts, money and vouchers towards this special project. Your gift brought many smiles to the residents of both refuges and your gifts were greatly received by all the children. We would like to extend a special thank you to Kiyah’s Chocolates for providing the food, bespoke menus and Santa’s Little Helpers! We also want to thank The Bejewelled Academy for their gifts to the mums, Penhurst Properties Ltd for the donation towards Santa’s grotto.
A special thanks to the Fostering Support Group who generously donated towards all the food, drink and the snow machine! FSG then went on to match their donation for this project and future ones of the Purple Touch charity. Your support was wonderfully received and appreciated.
To all donors, we thank you greatly.
